Experts claim that DNS is the Achilles’ heel of the Internet and that the whole system needs a new foundation. In recent years, major sites were taken offline because of DNS errors. Additionally, security expert Dan Kaminsky reported that approximately 230,000 name servers were susceptible to DNS ‘cache poisoning’.
