VeriSign shut down its controversial SiteFinder service over the weekend. The company said that data found that the service does not compromise the stability, security, or performance of the Internet. ICANN, who plans to meet to discuss the service, claims that SiteFinder “adversely affected anti-spam software, e-mail deliveries, and core DNS operations, as well as raised privacy concerns.”
