The National Science Foundation (NSF) is looking to collect on unpaid domain fees before they close up shop. Network Solutions, the company that registers domain names, is supposed to collect a fee that goes to the NSF Fund each time a domain is registered. The company has come out recently with news that a large portion of registered domains have yet to pay their registration fees. The NSF plans audits on domains and those that are unpaid will be expected to pay up.
