A recent denial-of-service attack on the Internet’s backbone that originated in the Asia-Pacific region has be foiled by a new level of security, Anycast. The attack, which lasted nearly 8 hours, only affected 2 of the 13 DNS servers and those two did not have Anycast installed on the.
