NetNames had filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against FreeNetNames (an ISP) and had their website shut down by court order. However NetNames’ sudden lack of action, with no word from them in over three weeks, led the judge to believe they had abandoned their efforts, and FreeNetNames was allowed to continue with their business.
