Despite an FTC ruling that the Domain Registry of America cease using misleading marketing letters to gain customers, reports show that the company is still continuing their renewal scam. In the scam, the company sends out letters telling domain registrants that their name is up for renewal and if they do not send payment, their name will expire. The letters fail to tell you that when you pay, your name will be transferred to them as the new Registrar.
