Microsoft Wins UDRP For Kinect Domains

Last month, Microsoft filed seven UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) cases over Kinect domain names.

Now, rulings were announced in four of the seven cases and the software giant won all four.

The domains included in the recent ruling include: wwwkinect.com, which a typo of kinect.com. What’s interesting is that Microsoft did not even own kinect.com when it filed the case against wwwkinect.com. The company has since purchased the domain name from a marketing group though. Microsoft also won MicrosoftKinect.com, KinectGameStore.com, KinectWorld.com, and KinectPeople.com.
