For the ultimate in bargain web hosting, check out Angelfire -- sites are free! If your site is non-commercial [or at least non-banner ad supported] and you can shoehorn your message into 200Kb, then this is the place for you. You won't have to open your wallet to maintain a web presence... great fun for students, and those on a super-tight budget.

GeoCities
You can get a totally FREE homepage at GeoCities simply by completing the registration form. This will also give you a free email address, possibly just the thing to use as a spam sink when posting to USENET or discussion lists. Prowebsite used to host my website, but it got a little slow at times... however they are a great choice if you are on a really tight budget and just run a small site. With 20 Pop mailboxes, unlimited traffic and more they are at least worth a second look.
